Does SimpleEdit cost anything?

SimpleEdit is currently available for free. We may introduce a one-time purchase in the future but there will never be a subscription.
What macOS version is required?

SimpleEdit requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It is built natively with SwiftUI and optimised for Apple Silicon.
Does the app collect any data?

No. SimpleEdit operates entirely on-device. We do not collect usage data, file contents, or any personal information. See our

Is SimpleEdit open source?

My undo isn't working properly

Undo is per-keystroke — ⌘Z should step back one character at a time. If you're seeing unexpected behaviour, please contact us with your macOS version and what file type you were editing.
How do I report a bug?
